Touring the Admin Home Page

As an LINQ EP administrator, you can use the Admin Home page to access the following LINQ Employee Portal tasks:

Your organization's name, address, and name and e-mail address of the LINQ EP administrator display at the top of the page.

You may click the Administration link on the Home page to go to the Admin Home page, if your user account is assigned to an LINQ EP administrator role. The links to which you have access are determined by your user permissions, which are defined by the LINQ EP administrator.

The following links are available on the Admin Home page.

User Links

Click the Users link in the Navigation Menu to list all LINQ EP user accounts in the User Listing grid; or click the following links to display a filtered user account list.

Employer Forms

Click the Employer Forms link to upload and organize company forms and other correspondence used by employees. These forms display on the Employer Forms page, accessed from the Home page.

You can also click the Employer Forms link in the Navigation Menu to display the Employer Forms page.

Maintain News

Click the Maintain News link to edit the content that is displayed in the System Messages section of the Home page. You can use the Edit News page to display a welcome message, or share important news about your organization.

You can also click the News link in the Navigation Menu to display the Employee News page.

Click the Links link to create and organize a Quick Links menu that will display on the Home page, if allowed by the organization.

Leave Request by Proxy

If available, click the Leave Request by Proxy link to enter a leave request by proxy for another employee. You can submit a leave request for an employee as a proxy user if:

  • Your user name belongs to an admin user role that has permission to enter proxy leave requests (Leave Request by Proxy parameter is set to Yes on the User Role page)

  • You are part of the approval chain used to approve the employee's leave requests

Rebuild Database Objects

Use the Rebuild Database Objects link only when instructed by your LINQ EP Client Support Representative. This function checks for invalid database objects and, if found, rebuilds them.

Release Notes

Each time LINQ releases a new version of the LINQ Employee Portal, it publishes a release notes document. This document summarizes the program enhancements included in the new release. These documents are published in PDF format.

Click the Release Notes link to open the corresponding release notes document in the document viewer.

The Contracts link displays if your organization generates electronic employee contracts and you are part of the employee contract process. Click the Contracts link to view the employee contract options available to you.

E-mail Setup

Click the E-mails link to configure the e-mail server and modify  customize system-generated e-mail messages:

  • E-mail messages sent to  administrative users and employees when  a user name or password is requested, or when an employee creates a new account.

  • E-mail sent to approvers and employees after an employee request is submitted to the approval hierarchy; to remind approvers to process outstanding requests for approval; and to send a list of outstanding requests awaiting approval to the LINQ EP administrator.

All e-mail notification messages are sent from the LINQ EP Administrator e-mail address defined on the General Preferences page.

Request Setup

  • You are part of the approval chain used to approve the employee's time entry requests
