Defining Time Tracking Settings

Use the Time Tracking Settings page to configure the Time Tracking function. To access this page:

To configure Time Tracking:

  1. Click the Time Tracking link in the Administrator Navigation Menu. Based on your user role security, one of these pages appears:

  1. Click to select each check box that applies to your implementation of Time Tracking.

Auto Clock In When Employee Has One Job

Click to select this check box to allow the employee to clock in without selecting a job, if the employee has only one job eligible for the Clock In process.

Leave this check box blank to require the employee to always select their job as part of their Clock In process.

Allow End Time to be Same as the Next Start Time

Click to select this check box to allow the user to clock out and clock back in for the same hour and minute, e.g., Clock Out time is 8:00 AM and Clock In time is 8:00 AM.

Leave this check box blank to require the user to have a one-minute difference between the clock in and clock out time, e.g., Clock Out time is 7:59 AM and Clock In time is 8:00 AM or later.

Filter Employees by Alio Security Access

If your organization uses one of these programs to assign employee security, click this check box to allow an administrator to view only employee records that have the same security masks as the security masks assigned to the administrator. Alio profile key HESEC_SECURITY_METHOD identifies the HRS security access program used by your organization.

  • HESEC02A.FMX - HRS User Security, when HESEC_SECURITY_METHOD Profile Data value is equal to USER

  • HESEC03A.FMX - HRS Security Access by Location, when HESEC_SECURITY_METHOD Profile Data value is equal to LOCATION

Leave this check box blank to allow the administrator to view all employee records or if your organization does not assign a Security Access value to its employees.

Use the Employee Categories Required to Select Location list to require an employee to select a location as part of their Clock In process, if that employee's job is assigned to a employee category included in the Employee Categories Required to Select Location list. Employee jobs assigned to employee categories displayed in the Employee Categories Not Allowed to Select Location list are exempt from this requirement.
