Touring the User Notifications Queue

Click the Notifications icon at the bottom of the page to display the Notifications queue.

If applicable to your district, use the User Notifications page to view notifications sent automatically when triggered by an event such as expiring certificates. There are two types of notifications that may display based on your district's notification policy:

The User Notifications page has two tabs:

If allowed by the administrator, the user may select reminders to be turned off. The button displays at the top of the page.

Viewing Current Notifications

Click the Current tab to view and, if allowed by the administrator, turn off notification reminders received by the user but not previously viewed.

Current Notifications Grid Link

The following links display in the Current Notifications grid.

Description

Click the Filter icon to filter the records displayed in a grid and to search for specific records. All filter criteria is retained until you manually remove or change the filter criteria, close the grid filter, or log out of LINQ EP. The filter values are also removed if your LINQ EP session is timed out.

Click the Refresh button to refresh the tasks displayed in the Current Notifications grid.

Current Notifications Grid Column Heading Descriptions

The Current Notifications grid lists the unread notifications received by the user.

Click a column heading to sort the records in the grid in ascending order. Click the column heading again to sort the records in the grid in descending order.

Column Headings

Description

Date

This column contains the date the notification was sent to the user.

Type

This column contains the type of notification sent to the user, e.g., Expired Certificate, Employee Contract Reminder.

Notification

This column displays the notification message sent to the user.

Emailed

This column contains a Y if an e-mail notification was sent successfully to the user. This column contains an N if an e-mail notification was not sent successfully to the user.

Viewing Viewed Notifications

Click the Viewed tab to view and, if allowed by the administrator, turn off notifications previously viewed.

The following links display in the Notifications grid.

This column contains the date the notification was sent to the user.

Type

This column contains the type of notification sent to the user, e.g., Expired Certificate, Employee Contract Reminder.

Notification

This column displays the notification message sent to the user.

This column contains a Y if an e-mail notification was sent successfully to the user. This column contains an N if an e-mail notification was not sent successfully to the user.

Turning off a Notification Reminder

Use the Turn Off Reminder button to turn off an automatic reminder displayed on the Current or Viewed tab. The user can turn off specific notifications or all notifications displayed in the grid.

  1. On the tab selected, click the check box to the left of the Date column to turn off all notifications displayed or click the check box that corresponds to the notifications to be turned off.

  2. Click the button. The message "Notification Reminders have been turned off." displays.

  3. Click the Close button to close the message. The check box no longer displays for the turned off reminders.
