After creating a leave calendar group, you must:
Define the leave calendar cutoff values and/or colors
Assign request groups to the leave calendar group
Assign the approval groups that may access the leave calendar
You can also perform these functions:
Change the leave calendar cutoff values and/or colors
Delete a leave calendar cutoff value
Delete an approval group from the leave calendar group to deny access to the associated leave calendar
After creating the leave calendar group, use the Edit button
to define cutoff values that show how leaves will affect the employee
count for reconciliation purposes and assign approval groups to the leave
calendar group.
In the Leave
Calendar Groups grid, click the Edit
button that corresponds
to the leave calendar group to be updated. The Edit
Leave Calendar Group page appears.
In the Leave
Cutoffs grid, click the link to display the Add
Leave Cutoff page.
Enter the following fields.

Cutoff Description | Type a description of the leave cutoff value. You can enter up to 50 alphanumeric characters. |
Cutoff Value | Type the cutoff percentage of employees that have leave on a calendar day. Enter this value without any decimal positions (e.g., 25 for 25 percent). |
Color | Click the Color Selector

Tip: You can also type the color code in hexadecimal format. Click

Click the
button to save the leave cutoff record.
Repeat steps 2-4 for
each cutoff value to be added to the leave calendar group. When finished,
click the button to save
the leave calendar group record.
You can also assign approval groups to a leave calendar group. This option allows the approvers in each approval group to use the leave calendar to approve employee leave requests.
To assign approval groups to the leave calendar group:
In the Leave
Calendar Groups grid, click the Edit
button that corresponds
to the leave calendar group to be updated. The Edit
Leave Calendar Group page appears.
In the Approval
Groups grid, click the link to display the Add
Approval Group page. The Select
Approval Groups for Leave Calendar Group grid lists all approval
groups available for selection.
In the Select
Approval Groups for Leave Calendar Group grid, click to select
each approval group with permission to use this leave calendar. The
message "Approval Group added to Leave Calendar Group" displays
each time an approval group is selected. Click the
button to close the message.
Click the
button when finished selecting the approval groups. The approval groups
selected display in the Approval
Groups grid.
Click the
button to save the modifications to the leave calendar group.
Follow these steps to delete a leave cutoff record from the Leave Cutoffs grid.
Click the Request Setup link on the Admin Home page.
Click the Request
Type Drop Down List
button and select Leaves
from the list. The Request Setup
– Leaves page appears.
In the Leave
Calendar Groups grid, click the button that
corresponds to the leave calendar group to be modified.
In the Leave
Cutoffs grid, click the Delete
button that corresponds to the leave cutoff record
to be deleted. The cutoff value is removed from the grid.
Click the
button to update the leave calendar group.
Follow these steps to remove an approval group from the Approval Groups grid. Use this option to revoke the approval group's access to the associated leave calendar.
Click the Request Setup link on the Admin Home page.
Click the Request
Type Drop Down List
button and select Leaves
from the list. The Request Setup
– Leaves page appears.
In the Leave
Calendar Groups grid, click the button that
corresponds to the leave calendar group to be modified.
In the Approval
Groups grid, click the Delete
button that corresponds to the approval group record
to be removed. The approval group is removed from the grid.
Click the
button to update the leave calendar group.
