As an approver, you can add, view, and remove attachments during the approval process.
Follow these steps to open an attachment during the approval process.
To view an attachment:
In the Request Attachments grid, click the Document Name assigned to the document to be downloaded. The Opening [file name] window displays with the Open with radio button selected.
Click to select the application that will be used to immediately open the document; or click the Save File radio button to save the file to your Download folder on your computer or network.
If the document was saved, go to your Download folder to open the document to be viewed.
Use the Add Attachment page to add supporting documents to your request.
Your LINQ EP administrator determines the number of files that can be attached (e.g., 100), the size of those files (e.g., 100MB), and the type of documents that can be attached. The default document types include the following file extensions: doc, docx, txt, xls, xlsx, pdf, ppt, pptx, zip, jpg, and png.
The Add and Modify Attachment functions are disabled when a request is submitted for approval. Approvers can add, view and, if applicable, remove attachments during the approval process.
To add an attachment:
In the Request
Attachments grid on the [Request
Type] Request Details page, click the
button to open the Add Attachment
page.
In the Document name field, type a descriptive name of the document. You can enter a maximum of 100 alphanumeric characters.
In the Attachment
field, click the button to select the path and
file name of the file to be uploaded to the time entry request.
Click the Open button to attach the file.
In the Comments field, type a description or other comments about this document. You can enter a maximum of 2,000 alphanumeric characters.
Click the
button to attach the document to the time entry request. The [Request Type] Request Details page
appears with the document displayed in the Request
Attachments grid.
Follow these steps to rename the document.
In the Request Attachments grid, click the Edit button. The Edit Attachment page displays.
In the Document Name field, type the new name for the document.
Click the
button.
Follow these steps to remove a document attached to the request.
In the Request
Attachments grid, click the Delete
button that corresponds to the attachment to be
deleted. The message "Are you sure you want to remove this attachment?"
displays.
Click the
button to confirm the removal of the attachment. The message "Attachment
deleted successfully" displays.
Click the button to
close this message. The Request Attachments
grid is refreshed.
