Use the Taxes Request Setup system options to customize the Taxes Request Queue. Your employees use the Taxes Requests Queue to submit changes to their federal and state tax withholding.
Use the General Information area at the top of the Taxes Request Setup page to type a message to your employees that can display on the selected request page. This message may include additional directions to completing a request, school policy notices, or any other type of message. You can enter a different message for each request page.
You have option to display or not display the general information for the request. You can also change this message at any time.

Follow these steps to set the Tax Requests Queue options.
Click the Request Setup link on the Admin Home page.
Click the Request
Type Drop Down List
button and select Taxes
from the list. The Taxes Request Setup page appears.
Optionally, type a general message to your employees. Click here for more details of the General Information area.
In the Allow Federal Tax requests for the following area, click the check box that corresponds to each federal tax request option available to your employees along with the default setting. The following table explains each option.

Marital Status Changes |
Click to select this check box to allow your employees to submit a request to change their marital status for federal tax purposes. Click to clear this check box to prevent your employees from submitting a request to change their marital status for federal tax purposes. |

Exemption Changes |
Click to select this check box to allow your employees to submit a request to change the number of exemptions on their W-2, if the change to the employee's W-4 Form is submitted with a start date prior to January 1, 2020. If the W-4 Form is submitted with a start date on or after January 1, 2020, this check box no longer applies and the Exemptions field on the Federal Tax Request page is disabled. Exemptions will equal zero (0) because they are not part of the new Federal tax deductions. Click to clear this check box to prevent your employees from submitting a request to change the number of exemptions on their W-2. |

Click to select this check box to allow your employees to submit a request to withhold an additional tax amount from their pay if the change to the employee's W-4 Form is submitted with a start date prior to January 1, 2020. If the W-4 Form is submitted with a start date on or after January 1, 2020, the employee would use Step 4(c) - Extra Withholding $ Amount (Per Paycheck) to request additional withholding.
